2021 – book, acrylic glass, screws – 30 x 21cm.

This piece comes from the performance “Palabras olvidadas” (December 2020). The action consisted in taking the pages out of an old book which belonged to the family library and creating a spiral around me with its pages. During the action, I let the book take a breath, which had not been possible for many years since it had been read for the last time. Once this performance was over, I wondered what would happen if I forced the book to expel all the air it had inhaled by exerting force on it.
